XX INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM

ON MOLECULAR BEAMS

Altis Park Hotel (Lisbon-Portugal), a four star hotel.

 

Foreword:

Following the tradition of the Molecular Beams meetings devoted to widespread applications of molecular beams in several domains of Physics, Chemistry and Technology, the ISMB will complete, in 2003, forty years of existence and it will take place in Lisbon from June 8th till June 13th. Leading scientists will be invited to give lectures reviewing the latest achievements in their field of research.

 

Registration:

The registration form is already available at the conference website.

The conference will be held at a Lisbon hotel and the fee will include among other things the full board accommodation there. Actually, the CONFERENCE FEE INCLUDES: ABSTRACT BOOK (not for accompanying persons), WELCOME COCKTAIL-BUFFET, COFFEE BREAKS, ACCOMODATION (after registration at the conference desk on the June 8th afternoon) AND  MEALS AT THE HOTEL (including breakfast on June 13th) , CONFERENCE DINNER AND HALF-DAY TOUR.

Only double-rooms will be available corresponding to the student fee payment .

The fee should be paid by bank transfer and the registration form should be correctly filled and then sent by normal mail to the following address:

Contributions:

Contributions for oral or poster presentations are welcome. Instructions including a template for submission of contributions is now available at the conference website.

The contributions should be electronically submitted to: molbeam@fct.unl.pt

Abstracts will be collected in a book and distributed to the participants upon arrival.

 

Deadlines:

Abstract submission:  1st February 2003

Registration without additional charge: 4th April 2003

Ø      Photodynamics and Laser Spectroscopy

Ø      Beam-Surface Interactions

 

Program:

The conference will follow the traditional scheduling boards of the previous ISMB’s namely several invited talks, oral presentations and poster sessions.

The official language of the conference will be English.

Concerning the scheduling it will become available in due time. Meanwhile several speakers have already accepted the invitation for giving plenary lectures at the XX ISMB:Y. Lee, P. Toennies, R.
