You can get into Lisboa (Lisbon in English) by air, sea or land… By land … as the paleolithic remains testify… By sea…Lisbon dates back to pre-Roman times - legend has it that Ulysses founded the city, although it was more probably the Phoenicians. In 205 BC the Romans began their two-century reign in Lisbon, and it became the most important city in the western Iberian region, renamed Felicitas Julia by man of the moment, Julius Caesar. In 714 Moors arrived and they fortified the city and held out against Christian attack for an impressive 400 years. By 1147 the Moors' luck had turned and the Portuguese Christian King Afonso I finally recaptured Lisbon. In 1255 Lisbon replaced Coimbra as Portugal's capital and developed rapidly on the back of booming maritime and inland trade… By air… using flying machines. Bartolomeu de Gusmão in 1709 was a pioneer of those machines with his new invention: the “Passarola”…

Altis Park Hotel is a four star hotel located besides the "Olaias" subway station. Making use of the Tourist Information icon in this conference website (see link of Lisbon Underground and then click Network), Olaias is the second station of the red line underground network. It is located in the main city although it does not belong to the downtown itself. However the inner part of the city can be reached very quickly and easily. The tube runs till 1.00 am.
There is no subway connection linking Lisbon International Airport to “Olaias”. To go from the airport to “Olaias” by bus one needs to change the line in “Areeiro” bus station. The most convenient and easiest way to reach the hotel is taking a taxi.
